Novitec Tridente Gives Maserati Quattroporte a New Kick

A few years back, when someone wants an exotic four-door power car, the Maserati Quattroporte (means four-doors in Italian) comes to mind.  Well, there’s also the Bentley Continental Flying Spur but the fact remains that there were limited choices for QPs back then.  At present, several models like the Aston Martin Rapide, Jaquar XJ Supercharged, and the Porsche Panamera give car buyers more freedom.  Maserati reported of bran new QPs in production, but for those who are steadfast fans of the current Maserrati Quattroporte, Novitec Tridente offers these car buyers something to feast their eyes one while waiting for the new models to make their debut.

So maybe Novitec doesn’t exactly ring a bell, right?  But this Dutch turning company has their share of fine-tuning Italian cars such as the Fiat 500 and the Alfa 159.  For those who are fans of exotic cars, you might have known them as the Novitec Rosso label that massages several of the Ferrari models.  Nevertheless, the Novitec Tridente is a special unit of the Novitec name, and this unit is dedicated solely for the tuning of Maserati models.

Novitec Tridente’s Maserati upgrade is available to both the Quattroporte S and its top-of-the-line sister Quattroporte GT S.  The upgrade package revamps the 4.7 liter V8 engine to supercharge its output up to 590 horsepower.  This gives the Quattroporte S a huge 160-horse boot and the GT S a hefty 150.  It also comes with the installation of an intercooler, a supercharger, remapped ECU, fuel injectors, new intake manifolds, and an adjustable sport suspension that comes with 21-inch wheels with Pirelli P Zero rubber.  The fine-tuned Maseratti Quattroporte runs at the speed of 0-62 mph in 4.6 seconds and at the top speed of 183 mph.
