Honda Accord Maestro Troubleshooting

HONDA ACCORD MAESTRO SUSPENSION SYSTEM

Problem:

  • Squeaky sound on the front when passing bumpy roads or bumps.
  • The sound of bumping in front of you when going through an uneven road and turning.

Because:

Based on the author's experience, the most common causes on Honda Accord Maestro for point 1 are: Damage to the upper arm. The way to fix this is to replace parts. This method is quite easy and can be done at home. Estimated Time to Repair : 10 to 30 Minutes.

BACK SUSPENSION

Just like the front suspension. The forearm of the back can also cause the same symptom, namely a bump in the back. The way to remove the arm is to remove the bolts around the suspension. Quite easy and can be done yourself at home.

FRONT SUSPENSION

Damage to this part in a less severe condition causes a metal-like sound rubbing against each other (screeching) when the car turns right or left. This is less common than top suspension. Based on the author's experience, the lower ball joint condition is still quite good and does not need to be replaced.

In more severe conditions, damage to the ball joint at the bottom causes a bumping sound when passing through a damaged road, controlling the car inappropriately and unable to spoor. Damage to the ball joint at the bottom causes a bumping sound as it passes through the damaged road.

Repairing the lower ball joint damage in either the front or rear suspension is more difficult than the upper / arm ball joint because more bolts and other parts have to be removed.

MAIN RELAY

Problem : Sometimes Honda Accord Maestro is difficult to start and causes a painful gas smell in the exhaust. Up to 20 newbies or none are required. When checked, no gasoline comes out of the injector (causing the fuel pump to die). This main relay failure can occur in all variants of Honda, not just the Accord. Usually found in Maestro, Genio and Ciello (which are quite old).

Cause : Soldering the main relay circuit. Cracks. Estimated Time to Repair: 10 to 30 Minutes.

Main Position of this relay just above the driver's feet (inside the dashboard). The way the relay works is, when the contact position is On, the relay works for about 5 seconds making the fuel pump work to supply gasoline to the injector. A moment later the relay turns off (disconnects).

When the contact position - Starter, the relay returns and runs electricity so that the fuel pump returns to work.

To convey this is to ensure that the gasoline supply is sufficient for the starter and in terms of safety, so that when the contact position is ON, gasoline does not always flow towards the injector. So gasoline only flows when the engine is running.

Many novice technicians misunderstand this issue. On average, they think the damage occurred because the fuel pump was dead / damaged.

The way to fix this is to open the relay socket, and solder it back / thicken the circuit path with lead. The lifespan after repair is almost a Lifetime as the solder is much stronger and won't cause cracking again.

HONDA ACCORD MAESTRO BRAKE LAMP INDICATOR PROBLEM

Inside the Honda Accord Maestro engine we will see a box containing components that will flow current to the brake light indicator when the lamp is damaged.

Regarding the problem of the indicator turning on even though the brake light is not damaged it can happen because:

  • The cable from the sensor leading to the brake light is cut
  • Poor cable connection. may occur due to possible exposure to water resulting in rust on the socket.

And also we have to open the additional brown wire, which is connected to the brake light fittings. Its purpose is to repair / bypass the connection from the sensor. So that the sensor reads the brake light does not break.
